Bird Watching

It is possible to observe a great diversity of species that pass through or nest here in the island, particularly but not only, seabirds. The main observation sites are the Caldeira, the Capelinhos Volcano, Porto Pim, Porto da Horta and Charcos de Pedro Miguel. As a way of potentiating sightings, it is recommended to be accompanied by a professional in the area with knowledge of the best observation sites.
