Also designated by Caldeira do Inferno, this site is formed by two united volcanic craters, filled by the sea in the shape of the number eight. This is the home to many marine fauna species, such as Salema Porgy (Sarpa salpa) and Ballan Wrasse (Labrus bergylta). A very interesting location from a biological point of view regarding the presence of endemic flora of the Azores, such as Azorean Heather (Erica azorica) or the Azorean Candleberry Tree (Morella faya).
